Workshop-ready information gives the person making the job a clear, current and usable answer. It does not mean adding more pages. It means removing uncertainty before production is waiting.
Start with one current revision
Everyone should be able to identify the project, the revision and the information that has been approved for use. Earlier information may need to be retained, but it must not be confused with the current pack.
Separate decisions from questions
Confirmed dimensions, materials and construction details should be easy to distinguish from items that still need an answer. An open question should have a clear owner rather than becoming a workshop assumption.
Show what is needed to make the work
Useful information may include clear views, dimensions, sections, details, material references, edge information, quantities and notes. The exact mix depends on the job and the agreed service.
Make responsibilities visible
The pack should show what LWS has prepared, what the client or workshop has supplied, and what still needs checking. CNC information also depends on the real machine, material, tooling and workshop process.
Check usability before release
A final check should ask whether the intended user can find the right answer, understand the revision and see any limits without needing to reconstruct the design from scattered files.
